It is quite shocking how everything evolves to the “right design”. We have been working on this too and got to the same solution: 200mm timing belt + pulley
yeah ๐ when i put this together i was shocked as well ๐ any chance to create sketch for MIT APP or BLYNK? this would “more” opnesource ๐
We need to compile everything about other Makers contributions. The forums only shows a tiny portion of what we got via email. We encourage everyone to use the forum but I think this MyBB system is not helping ๐
Give us a week or so to sort everything out.

Nice one! Mine is better looking and safer due to hidden pulley :DDD
Just kidding ๐
Could you upload photos of your improvements please?
I hope this gives some idea of what I got up to. It’s very basic but I thought it fundamental to get rid of that vertical offset the belt has. I used to hear my slider groan and the belt click as the carriage approached the limits.
The rod clamps will at least allow me to play with finding a practical total length for the slider. I bought 800 mm rods, just because I could :), and it’s easy to cut off what I decide I don’t need.

I replaced the JJ Robots iPhone App with Blynk. It was a great project to work on during the quarantine.
See: Blynk-based camera slider project.. The same Blynk App drives both my JJ Robots slider and a Neewer slider.
