We have been adapting the very popular Plot clock (from Johannes and with contributions from Kjetil Egeland) to the current jjRobots electronics (Brain Shield). The idea is to connect this new version of the Plot clock to internet allowing it to read the time from any internet clock (google/microsoft/nasa…any with a ntp service) and other info (local weather forecast, temperature…etc). Doing this we save to use any other electronics like a Real Time clock module, thermometer…etc
I have modified the frame so now it can be hung from the wall or work vertically. And it is easier to print on a 3D printer.
As I am still working on it, any suggestions and comments are greatly appreciated: The facebook comments have been activated at the end of this page, so feel free to leave your thoughts/ideas there.
Take a look at the potato video below, the servos need to be adjusted and the text inverted but it is a very doable side-project 🙂
I know, I know… the servos have to be calibrated and it is “painting backwards” but it is alive! (and can be power-up from a USB port)
